Warranty Support
Close the callback with a finding, not another trip.
A warranty complaint that says "the upstairs is hot" can mean a dozen different things. Sent back to the installing contractor, it usually produces a charge check, a filter change, and a homeowner who calls again in three weeks. The cost is not the visit. The cost is the fourth visit and the relationship.
We take those calls and find the cause.
Why repeat callbacks happen
Because the complaint is a symptom and the response is a guess. A system that cannot move enough air will read as low on charge, run long, freeze a coil, and leave a room warm. Address any one of those and the complaint comes back, because the airflow never changed.
Measuring first breaks that loop. It is slower on the first visit and faster on every one after.
What a warranty diagnostic visit produces
A written finding: what the system is doing, what is causing it, and what specifically needs to change. If the cause falls under the installing contractor's warranty obligation, the document tells them exactly what to correct. If it does not, it tells the homeowner why, in terms they can accept.
Either outcome closes the item. Ambiguity is what keeps it open.
Complaints this fits
Rooms that will not hold temperature. Systems that run constantly without satisfying. Humidity complaints in a house that should not have them. Noise. Short cycling. Equipment that has already been "repaired" more than once for the same thing.
What it is not
We do not adjudicate warranty coverage and we do not write a report to a conclusion. We report what we measured. Sometimes that helps the builder and sometimes it does not.
Common questions
Common questions
- Who do you report to?
- Whoever engaged us. We state that plainly to the homeowner at the door.
- Can you do the corrective work?
- In most cases yes, as separate approved work. There is no obligation, and we will say so if the right party to fix it is the installing contractor.
- How is this different from a service call?
- A service call addresses a system that has stopped working. A warranty diagnostic addresses a system that runs and still does not satisfy. Different problem, different visit.
- Do you handle these in occupied homes?
- Almost all of them are occupied. That is the point.
