SYSTEMIQHVAC

Builders & Warranty

Independent verification, before the warranty call.

Most builder HVAC problems are not equipment failures. They are the result of a system that was installed to plan and never measured against it. The equipment runs. The homeowner is uncomfortable. Nobody can say why, so the answer becomes another trip, another part, and another callback on your warranty ledger.

SystemIQ works the other side of that. We measure what the system is actually doing, document it, and hand you a record you can act on or hand to the trade responsible.

What we do for builders

  • Commissioning verification on new construction, before or after closing.
  • Diagnostic workups on warranty complaints, so the callback gets resolved on the first visit instead of the third.
  • Written findings with the measurements behind them, suitable for a file, a punch list, or a conversation with your mechanical contractor.

We do not replace your installing contractor and we do not bid against them. We measure.

Why independence matters here

A contractor asked to evaluate their own installation is being asked to grade their own work. That is not a character problem, it is a structural one. An independent measurement carries weight with a homeowner precisely because nobody involved is defending a decision.

That is also why our findings go to you in full, including the ones that show the system is performing correctly. A documented "no defect found" closes a warranty claim as cleanly as a documented defect does.

What gets measured

Airflow, static pressure, temperature split, refrigerant charge conditions, and the distribution side of the system. The specific scope depends on the complaint and is agreed before the visit. Testing that falls outside the standard evaluation, such as envelope or duct leakage testing, is quoted and approved separately.

How to start

Send us the address, the complaint if there is one, and the plan set if you have it. We will tell you what the visit should cover before we schedule it.

Common questions

Common questions

Do you work directly for the builder or for the homeowner?
Either, but not both on the same house. Whoever engages us gets the findings. We say up front which one we are working for so nobody is surprised.
Will this create a fight with our mechanical contractor?
It has not so far. Measurements are not accusations. Most contractors would rather be handed numbers than a homeowner's description of a feeling.
Can you verify a system you did not install?
Yes. That is the entire service.
Do you do the repair if you find something?
We can, or you can route it to the installing contractor under warranty. We will tell you what the fix is either way.
